Dudley Cash Safes
Dudley Cash Safes are manufactured to offer protection against physical attack. Safes also offer fire resistant qualities, due to the construction process (e.g body thickness, infill material used).

Fire Protection Attributes
Dudley Safes where stated conform to the Swedish testing house, NT017 fire protection accreditation (tested to protect documents only). Safes would be tested to either 30, 60 minutes certification within a controlled environment, subjected to a variety of tests, such as Fire & Impact, Explosion etc.

Standards – Quality matters
Cash Safes – manufactured under the control of ISO 9001:2000 Dudley safes adhere to recognised testing standards current models where applicable have been submitted to the Loss Prevention Certification board (LPCB) for testing and grading in accordance with the European grading system detailed below. Dudley is the first and currently the only UK safe manufacturer accredited with the EN1143-1:2005.

Size / Dimensions
Safes are a long-term investment. Thus it is important to identify both your short & long term requirement before choosing a particular model. You will need to consider both the internal and the external dimensions, in order to ensure that the safe will fit into its designated space. You also need to consider the amount of internal storage space required. For this reason, it can be helpful to have the measurements of the largest item you will place in the safe in order to get a sense of the minimum dimensions you will require.

Terminology

Cash rating – this is the overnight cash rating given by the manufacturer (i.e. it is their view on what cover an insurer is likely to give).
Valuables cover - as a guide, insurers typically give up to 10 times (for the residential market) the cash rating for valuables, for instance, a 4K cash rating will give up to 40K for valuables (Always confirm with your insurer).
Euro-Grade - This system was devised by the insurance industry to give rating consistency Europe-wide. Where a safe has a Euro–grade insurers would give cover equal to the rating.
